first day skunk
April 9, 2008if you read my previous post, you know that it’s my first day back from a long rest. i told you how much the going to work on your first day back stinks. now i’m gonna tell you why it craps on your face a bit more when you get to the office.
you don’t know sh*t when you come back. a lot of things change when you get back. a team meeting happens. executives visit your office. a person leaves the company for reasons you have no idea about. a person arrives because of the person who just left. no more free coffee. and a whole lot of things that makes you wonder if coming back to the office is worth the trouble of getting up from bed.
then there’s this problem with your email which almost always happen when come back. which brings me to the conclusion that everytime you get back to the office after a long break, it will always seem that you’re starting all over again. like you’re new in the company or something. like it’s a rookie wall or some sort.
which makes you think if you ever want to get on a vacation again, because you know what you’ll be coming back to. which makes you think if you should ever come back. which makes you think of things or ways on how to not ever come back to this dead-end, lifeless thing you call work. makes you want to just stare blankly at the computer screen for five minutes which feels like forever.
i’m not making any sense here i know. but the salary pay is still two weeks away. which means it will take two weeks for me to become happy again.
